"Sport on One"

“Sport on One” begins on Saturday at 10 o’clock with its regular racing preview by Phillip Leishman and Glvn Tucker. Glyn Tucker will review the last week’s races from the Otago Racing Club and preview the televised races of the same meeting for this Saturday. There will be a full service of scratchings and other information.

This will be followed by “Three-A-Side,” a panel game for top sporting personalities. This week the teams are: Grahame Thorne with Joan Harnett and Charles Martin; and Bruce Taylor with Grant Batty and John Reid. The afternoon programme begins at 1.45 p.m. with a programme preview. and then at 1.50 p.m. there is a further programme of showjumping from the Isola Equestrian Centre. The Otago Racing Clubs final day at Wingatui is Saturday’s featured meeting. Five races will be shown, starting with the Grandstand Handicap at 2.15 p.m. The national boxing chami pionships were concluded on ; Wednesday night. There will -be highlights of the finals at 12.20 p.m. i The final round of the I Marlboro Rally was last Sunday, and there will be coverage of this event at 4.45 p.m.
