W. Skelton to miss Otaki
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Bill Skelton will not ride at Otaki tomorrow. He is still feeling the effects of a heavy tall from Quiet Fire at Trentham last week and although he did ride at Otaki on Wednesday in the end he had to give away two rides.
Although he rede one winner, the two-year-old Bold Salute, the continual jarring on his back gave him trouble. He rode work at Levin yesterday but afterwards went for treatment and was advised to miss Otaki.
