Inquiry into Tossa’s race
(HZ Press Assn—Copyright) MELBOURNE. Stewards of the Moonee Valley Racing Club wiU today continue their inquiry into the running of Tossa at Moonee Valley on Saturday. The inquiry resumed at Flemington races yesterday when the New Zealand trainer, Lloyd Clutterbuck, volunteered evidence to the stewards regarding Tossa. After hearing his evidence stewards told him to be at the racing centre at 2 pun. today. The apprentice jockey Brian Harris, who rode Tossa, and the horse’s trainer, Jack McGreal, will also be at the inquiry. Clutterbuck is foreman for McGreal and also trains the New Zealand jumper, Luigi. The stewards are inquiring into Harris’s handling of Tossa which finished fifth in the Lindsay Gordon Steeple.
