AUCKLAND, Oct. 1. A check on the Eden electoral roll has not produced any evidence of illegal phantom voters, the Justice Department’s chief electoral officer (Mr J. L. Wright) said today. The National Party in Eden last week handed the district electoral officer a file containing hundreds of complaints of errors in the roll. . Mr Wright said electoral 'officers found errors indicjating the roil was out of date because electors had not bothered to record a change of address or electorate. In' a letter accompanying I the file of complaints, the I National Party in Eden said (some of the incorrect entries I could have been engineered.
