Bikie turns to God
A former motor-cycle gang member, charged with assaulting a constable and resisting arrest, told Mr N. L. Bradford. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday that he had turned to Christianity and was “working for the Lord.” The defendant, aged 20, was discharged under Section 42 of the Criminal Justice Amendment Act and ordered to pay $4O to the Society for the Intellectually Handicapped and the Crippled Children Society. He pleaded guilty. Counsel (Mr P. H. B. Hall), said that the defendant had completely reformed and had later apologised to tho constable of his own accord.
