Transvision ahead; no div. advice

(N.Z. Press Association; WELLINGTON. Transvision Holdings, Ltd, television and finance group, earned a “satisfactory” profit for the half-year to June 30, the chairman (Mr J. S. Rutherfurd) reports. The profit was in line with the directors’ expectations that a significant improvement will be made on the maiden profit of $38,329 as the benefits of contracts written by the television rental subsidiary, Transvision Rentals, Ltd, accrued. Rentals were ahead of budget, and the finance subsidiary, Finance House, Ltd, again contributed to over-all profitability. The growth of the importexport finance subsidiary, Transvision International, was below budget, but the medium-term prospects were good. Mr Rutherfurd said nothing about dividends in the 1973 prospectus. The directors said that they expected that the first dividend would be paid in 1976. A sound liquidity position had been, maintained. The rental subsidiary’s third debenture issue raised $735,000, Mr Rutherfurd says.

Interest rates on the current debenture issue have been raised from 11.75 per cent to 12.5 per cent for the three, four and five year terms.
