Portuguese P.M. defied by troops
(N Z P A Reuter—Copyright) LISBON, Oct. 1.
Leftist troops today defied an order by the Prime Minister (Admiral Jose Pinheiro de Azevedo) to evacuate a pro-Communist radio station they occupied on his orders 48 hours ago. Soldiers drew Army lorries across the street leading to the radio station and said that they would defend the building against anyone who tried to take it from them.
