Quiet time at Lyttelton

With only one over-? seas ship in port, the Westmorland, the Port! of Lyttelton has not been so quiet for many; months. This time of year is generally quieter as far as cargo movement is concerned; but there is much less activity at the port now than there was this time last year. One explanation for the lack of activity is the downturn in imports after devaluation. When the killing Season starts at freezing works next month, shipping traffic
