N.Z. women’s side wins
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) HONG KONG. Thailand defeated Singapore 3-0 and New Zealand beat Malaysia 3-0 to make sure of reaching the semifinals of the first Asian women’s soccer tournament. In the New Zealand-Ma-aysia game the winners led 1-0 at half time in a match played before 6000 spectators, occasionally in heavy rain. Marilyn Marshall scored two goals and Kathy Simenoff one.
