EXTERNAL AID DIVISION MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ASSISTANT ADVISORY OFFICERS ADVISORY OFFICERS SENIOR ADVISORY OFFICERS THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS has several vacancies in the External Aid Division, Head Office. These positions will be filled at an Assistant Advisory Officer, Advisory Officer or SenioY Advisory Officer level according to the experience and qualifications of each appointee. The appointees vill work as "Project Officers” and be members of the team responsible for the administration of New Zealand’s Overseas Aid Programme. Each project officer has responsibility for the investigation, assessment and day-to-day administration of all aid projects in a paraicular country or region. This involves liaison with other Government departments, the universities, the private sector and New Zealand’s posts overseas. Some travel within New Zealand and oveseas may be involved and the appointees could be posted overseas at a later stage to aid administrative positions. A good university degree is desired, with some background in economics useful although not essential. A salary commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience will be paid. Some assistance with transfer expenses would be available to a married appointee from outside of Wellington.
