Sir, — Your almost continuous correspondence on Radio N.Z.’s and T.V.s mispronunciations are, I think, falling on deaf ears. After all, when 3ZB’s almost hourly jingle says: “3ZB Radio Canterbree” — obviously the authorities don’t know correct pronunciations, and don’t want to know. Again, some-announcers still talk about “New Zilland” — so that proves the point. — Yours, etc..
