Surgeon's skill

Sir, — I was dismayed to read the report questioning [the capability of Grey Hospital surgeons. Doctors do not operate just for the sake of it and would first [ensure that it was necessary, especially for one so young. 11 have nothing but praise for the Grey Hospital team and I know I speak for all patients who were in hospital with me. The comprehensive facilities at GreyHospital and specialist advice from elsewhere are jused without hesitation where justified by the doctors, whose skill as surgeons could not be questioned. Considering the difficulties of coping with our large West Coast region and the terrific service we are given, I feel it is most unfair and i misleading to single out this ■ one case in such a way. — Yours, etc., MARGARET D. LANGE. : August 21, 1975.
