Parking restrictions at Hornby

(From Our Own Reporter) ' WELLINGTON. The National Roads Board approved a number of parking restrictions and the relocation of a pedestrian crossing at Hornby, on State Highway 1, at its meeting in Wellington. There will be bus stops 43 metres east of Tower Street, 49 metres west of Shands Road, and 85 metres west of Carmen Road, while the existing pedestrian crossing will be relocated 73 metres east of Chalmers Street. No-stopping restrictions on the southern side will be:

Shands Road 82 metres east and 15 metres west; Woolworths car-park eastern en- , trance, six metres east; Wool- ’ worths western entrance, six, ■ metres east and six metres! ■ west; pedestrian crossing, 15 i metres east and six metres! , west; and Chalmers Street, 15 ; metres east and six metres ! west. On the southern side, they will be: Carmen Road, six metres east and 40 metres ; west; pedestrian crossing, 15 ■ metres east and six metres f west; and Chalmers Street, 24 > metres east and 26 metres ! west. There will be a 10-minute > parking restriction on the > southern side, beginning 15 metres west from Shands i Road and extending west for : 26 metres.
