Take-over troubles
GV Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The board of Group Rentals New Zealand, Ltd, appears to be having trouble !in deciding its attitude to the take-over bid announced earlier this month. It was confirmed yesterday that General Finance, i Ltd, was the bidder for Group Rentals. The .directors of Group Rentals met yesterday to consider the offer, and are ■ to meet again this morning. Sub-committees of the two boards also met yesterday and a further meeting is scheduled for today. The managing director of General Finance (Mr F. V. Noble Beasley) said yesterday a joint announcement could be expected within the next few days.
