Prompt action promised
the Minister of Works (Mr Connelly) on Thursday promised prompt action on the recommendations of the Rolleston planning consultants.
A start on applying the planners’ proposals would be made immediately, he said in Christchurch yesterday. An action against the Minister, contesting the validity of his confirming the notice to take land at Rolleston before appeals were heard by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, has been set down for Tuesday week. Mr Connelly said that, assuming the decision favours the Government, I further appeals would be, heard promptly.
