Bank money recovered
(N Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, June 18. Police have recovered all but $2OO of the $7113 which the manager of the National Bank at Taupo was forced to take from the bank’s safe on Monday night while his wife and the accountant were held hostage. A man will appear in the Taupo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, charged with aggravated robbery. The police stopped the man at a road block near Kinloch, outside Taupo, at 10 a.m. todav and detained him at gunnoint. A man with him at the time was questioned, but not detained.
