College XV wins easily

Si Andrew’s College had a comfortable, 23-8, victory in its Rugby match against the touring Hurlstone College (New South Wales) yesterday.

St Andrew’s dominated the first half—Hurlstone had little possession and wasted most of the ball it did receive—and scored four tries to one, to lead 23-4 at half-time.

Hurlstone scored the only points in the second half when the right wing. Greg Wright, scored his second fine try, after five minutes, and generally looked a much better side.

Outstanding St Andrew’s forwards were the red-haired hooker. Craig Eyes, the resolute breakaway. Johnny Hooper, the No. 8. Peter Dalliaon, who had an excellent all-round game, and the lock. Andrew Halcomb, who hunted the ball diligently for Hurlstone.

Hooper (twoi. Dallison, and the half-back, Chris Sloss, scored tries for St Andrew’s, and Roger Fuller kicked a penalty and two conversions.
