After receiving Mr Palmer’s interim report on the World Cup tournament, held in Kuala Lumpur last month, the manage ment committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association de cided last evening to write to England and to seek its terms and conditions.
Tour matches.—The following itinerary for the Canadian tour this year was approved, but an alternative venue to Gisborne will be named if nothing is heard from Poverty Bay in the next 10 days. September 2, Poverty Bay. Gisborne; September 3. Hawke's Bay. Napier; September 4. Hutt Valiev. Wellington; September 6. New Zealand. Christchurch; September 7. New Zealand. Christchurch; September 9, Nelson; September 10, Wanganui; September 11. Taranaki. New Plymouth: September 13. New Zealand, Hamilton: September 14. New Zealand. Auckland.
Umpires.—The list of the top umpires for 1975. based on last vear’s performances. is: Messrs B. Brenmer (Wellington). R. H. Campbell (Canterburv). I. M. Gurney (Manawatu). E. R. Johnson (Wellington). A. B. Lints (Waganui). Doug Lloyd 'Canterbury). Des Lloyd (Auckland).
Colts.— Three pools of seven, six and six teams will contest the top grade in the national colts tournament at Tauranga. which beings on May -9. They are: Pool A: Piako, Nelson. Auckland. Wanganui. Northland. Horowhenua. Wairarapa. Pool B: Tauranga, Wellington, Hamilton. Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, South Canterbury. Pool C; Central Hawke’s Bay. Poverty Bay. Otago. Ashburton. Manawatu, Canterbury.
Inter-lsland.— The North v. South game will be held on July 12. but no venue will be decided until the committee hears from TVI. which might have a particular venue in mind if it wants to televise the match.
