A new book on the ever-: popular subject of flower ar-] ranging is “Floral Design,”] by Margaret Albrechtsen. I The soft cover book, which I is written for New Zealand: conditions, has 145 pages of: useful information, diagrams and illustrations, and is priced at $1.50. Those new to the art will find helpful hints on how to keep material fresh, what materials will be needed and information on the principles of floral design. The experienced flower arranger, who might be' familiar with the author’s! first book, will find many] new arrangements and techniques. Included in the! advanced arrangements are; the “abstract” designs in! which the author has adapted! painting and sculpting principle to floral compositions. There are also chapters on “special occasion” arrangements and dry arrangements to sell. The book is published by Wilson and Horton, Ltd.
