Commission officers

Another 10 liaison officers, including two to be based in Christchurch, have been appointed by the Accident Compensation Commission to assist the rehabilitation of accident victims and to help in the processing of claims. Messrs W. T. Guthrie and B. O’Donoghue will be based in Christchurch to serve Canterbury, South Canterbury and the West Coast.

The officers will work with hospitals, rehabilitation agencies, Government departments, employers and employee organisations. They will bring to the notice of injured people the rights they have under accident compensation and will help them return to employment.

The newly appointed officers will be trained in Wellington.
