i (VZ. PretiS Association > DUNEDIN. An oversupply of beef cattle ■1.544 head' in good condition caused prices to drop S 6 to SB a I head at the Burnside sale this week. Prices in the veal section droped S 5 a head. The offering, of 115 was of fair quality. One good vealer sold (or $6l. others ranged from $4O to 554. Pig values were unchanged from the previous sale, although some lines were untinished. Lai. b prices for the 511 offered remained firm; quality was mixed. Sheep prices started at late rates but improved later !in the sale by 70c a head for hoggets. Ewe prices remained firm. Prices were:— Oxen: Top. $129 to 5134: heavx, Sl2O to $125: medium. 595 to S 105; light, 576 to S 80: unfinished. S6O to $7O. Heifers: Top. $93. heavy. 575 to $B7: medium. S5O to S6B. Cows: Top. $B5; heavy. $6B to $75: medium. $5O to $62: light. $39 to $45. Baconers: To $62. Porkers: Top. $52 to S5B; medium. $46 to ?50; light. $35 to $4l. Lambs: Top. $12.50: heavy, $9.90 to $11.20: light. $7.80 to $B.BO. Hoggets; Top. $13.40: medium, $l2 to $12.40; light. $9.50 to $9.80 Ewes: Top. $5: i medium. $3.30 to $3.60; light. ! $2.70 to 13.10.
