fastest pacer

A smart 2400 m in 3:14.65ec was by far the fastest time among 15 pacers to qualify yesterday at Addington Raceway. This time was returned by Czarina Star, a four-year-old mare by Majestic Chance from Tolstoy, part-owned and trained at Rangiora by C. H. Lang. Three trotters qualified, the fastest time being 3:24.45ec by Robert Hodgen, a five-year-old gelding by Hodgen's Surprise from Bettaway, trained at Ashburton by F. R. Bebbington for she Jamison Bros, of Winchmore.

Others to qualify were Jones Boy, Western Approach, Linda Ann, Para’s Own, Mangala, Stetting, Nojo, Be Wise, Sly David, Fallacy Free, Keep Sweet, Barossa Pearl, Play Drift, Bird of Paradise, Rosewood Light and Linkwood Prince.
