M.P. visits Hanoi
: (N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) ; SAIGON. Mar. 2. The Labour member of Parliament for Wanganui (Mr C. R. Marshall), has had, (informal taiks in Hanoi with members of the North Vietnamese National Assembly! and representatives of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of South Vietnam. Mr Marshall, who spent 8 days in North Vietnam with a World Council of Churches delegation, is the (first New Zealand M.P. to go there since New Zealand recognised Hanoi in October. 1973. There has been little con-! tact between Wellington and) Hanoi, although the New! Zealand Ambassador to! China (Mr B. Harland) has, met the North Vietnamese Ambassador in Peking. He met three members of; the standing committee of the North Vietnamese Nat- j ional Assembly at their invitation. Mr Marshall, a Baptist: minister before he entered. Parliament, said he had been!
