Rugby tour sought
: r.vZ P.A Staff Correspondent SYDNEY. The president of the ( Queensland Rugby Union (Mr Joe Gibson) will visit New Zealand next week to arrange a six-match tour by Queensland next winter. • The visit will be a return f for North Auckland's 1973 , visit to Queensland. The mam i match will be against North Auckland at Whangarei. Other fixtures have yet to _ be settled, but one or two may be in the north against t local sides, rather than , against first class teams further south. Queensland and North . Auckland played an exciting . draw when they met in Brist bane in 1973. t Queensland officials said the tour would probably last . three weeks. si Three previous Queensland . sides have visited New Zealand. The first, in 1966, lost » all six of its games, the sec--lond, in 1963. scored one win hand three losses, and the s | third, in 1970, had four wins, a draw and two losses.
