Nelson Armbro dead

The promising young pacer, Nelson Armbro, died of a twisted bowel yesterday morning. A three-year-old by Armbro Hurricane from Dark Rose, Nelson Armbro won impressively at Waimate two starts back, finished solidly for second to Commissioner at Ranglora at his most recent start, and altogether showed a ton of promise. He was trained at Yaldhurst by G. B. Noble for Mr A. K. Greenslade, who paid $7OOO for him about two years ago at the Roydon Lodge sale of yearlings.
