Junior table tennis

A Burwood player. Miss I.’ jJagersma, dominated the Canter-1 bury junior summer table tennisi tournament yesterday, winning' , all lour girls events. She beat Miss D. Laycock j (Avonside) in straight sets inj both the under 18 and under I 15 singles, and then combined with Miss Laycock to comfort-' , ably win the two doubles. Entries for the tournament were low. and it finished early at 2.15 p.m. in spite of the fact I that all players were involved in 1 section play in the morning. Results:— Under 18 Boys’ singles.—Semi-finals: S. Armstrong beat A. Campbell, 121-18. 28-30, 21-18: R. Dixon beat T. Green. 21-14. 20-22, 21-14. ; Final: Armstrong beat Dixon. 21-7, 18-21. 21-19. Boys’ doubles. — Semi-finals: Armstrong and T. Maramatsu beat Green and S. Adamson. 21-15, 21-19; G. Halliburton and IT. Sargent beat G. Wilson and Dixon, 18-21, 21-19. 21-19. Final: Halliburton and Sargent beat Armstrong and Maramatsu.: ‘2l-16, 12-21, 21-13.
