Man crushed by tractor
<N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 15. A workman was crushed to death this morning when a tractor rolled into a trench on a building site in Mangere. He was Mr Bertram Gordon Rowlands, aged 60, of Papakura. The police said Mr Rowlands died on the site after being struck by the tractor. Another workman in the trench received minor injuries. Appointment-—The deputy medical director of the Accident Compensation Commission (Mr R. F. Hendtlass) has been appointed to the board of the New Zealand Rehabilitation League.—(P.A.)
