New flights to Fiji

Air New Zealand will begin its second weekly DCB service to Fiji from Christchurch by way of Wellington, today — but only 25 persons had booked for the flight, and no cargo was scheduled to be carried. Thirteen persons from Christchurch and 12 from Wellington will be aboard the aircraft, and about the same number on the next Monday’s service. Since the introduction of its first service, each Thursday since April 4, the passenger and freight traffic into the South Pacific has steadily grown. This is the reason the airline decided to introduce a second service to Fiji.
