Athletes who wish to compete in both the men’s 800 m and 1500 m at the New Zea-! (land Games in January will jnow be able to do so, as ithe result of changes in the I provisional programme made I last evening by the athletics control committee. I Mr E. Lunn, speaking for| 'the committee, said the 1500 m final was now set down for the final day, January 26, and the heats would be' held on the preceding day. Tlie provisional date for the 800 m final is January 24. To balance the programme, the 3000 m steeplechase final will be switched from ' January 26 to 25. “Theoretically, the changes ■ allow any one to run in both the 800 m and the 1500 m at' 1 the Games,” Mr Lunn said.
