J.i McCarthy said the police didj not hold grave fears for her safety at this stage but were disturbed at her disappearance because of the background of the inquiry.
Mns Mathews was admitted to hospital on August 31 with a fractured facial bone and severe bruising after an alleged assault at St Johns’ ■ College, Meadowbank.
