“Hot lines' for super.
The A.M.P. Society announced yesterday that because of public confusion over the Government superannuation scheme it would 'soon open day and night I “hot line” telephone services ( at its main branches. The Christchurch manager (Mr K. G. Elliott) said a recent opinion poll had conifirmed what the society bei Sieved — that very few 'people understood the comjplete superannuation situation as it stood.
Special telephone lines will be set aside and advertised in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Superannuation specialists wall man them from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
Inquiry date. — The commission of inquiry into the distribution of motor spirits and ancillary products will negm its public hearings on September 23 in Wellington, according to a notice in the Gazette—(P.A.).
