(N.Z. Press Association} AUCKLAND. The Commonwealth Games track cyclist, B. Stockwell (Canterbury), has withdrawn from the final of the Air New Zealand national grand prix road-cycl-ing event in Auckland during the week-end.

Stockwell and M. Hughes (Southland) have been selected to represent New Zealand in the annual 12-day tour of New Caledonia, and will not ride in the 303kilometre grand prix. Auckland will have a full team of eight cyclists, West Coast will have seven, Canterbury, with Stockwell’s withdrawal, seven, and Waikato and Wellington four each.
