AUCKLAND.
Counties beat Auckland, 30-25, in a thrilling Rugby match at the Pukekohe Stadium yesterday. Counties led 18-4 at half-time. P. Goldsmith, J. Allen, and P. Yates scored Counties’ tries, and R. Lendrum converted all three and kicked four penalty goals. W. F. Gascoigne, G. L. Colling, K R. Carrington, B. R. Johnstone, and B, G. Williams scored Auckland’s tries, S. L. Watt converted one, and P. J. Parlane kicked a drop goal.
