Rubber men still out
Workers on strike at the Firestone tyre factory met on Saturday and decided to' stav on strike. The 240 men at the meeting were told of the so-far fruitless discussions the union has had with the company’s management, and the' industrial mediator (Mr W V. Wright), according to the president of the Canterbury Rubber Workers' Union (Mr C. L. Hansen). The men will meet again next Saturday, if a settle-1 ment has not been reached in the meantime.
