Energy study grants

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Energy Research and Development Committee, which was set up earlier this year, has announced that it will make six cash grants amounting to more than $50,000. They are:

Mr R. G. Pilling, of the department of agricultural economics and marketing at Lincoln College, $15,000.

Mr H. A. Trethowen, head of components research division. Building Research Association, $17,500. Dr B. V. Walker, head of chemical engineering section. Chemistry Division, D.5.1.R., $3500.

Mr R. F. Benseman, head of heat transfer section, physics and engineering laboratory, D.5.1.R., $2500.

Dr D. Lindley, mechanical engineering department, Uni'•’rsity of Canterbury, $3OOO. Dr M. J. O’Sullivan, department of theoretical and applied mechanics. University of Auckland, $12,000.
