More fancy cheeses

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. Expansion of the New Zealand Co-operative Rennet Company’s plant at Eltham will double its output of fancy cheeses. The company’s chairman (Mr K. B. McCartney) said that work on the 30,000-sq. ft extensions would begin almost immediately to be completed for the 1975-76 season. At present the company could not keep up with the demand for fancy cheeses, both locally and overseas. “We will be out of stock for most types of fancy cheeses this season even though we are working to capacity,” he said. The extensions would enable the company to manufacture up to 1000 tons of fancy cheeses.
