Kerrigan in Maori league squad
<N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Canterbun wing, E. Kerrigan, it the only South Islander named yesterday in the squad of 19 players from which the New Zealand Maori Rugby league team to play Great Britain on July 30 will be selected. In the trial game played yesterday. Auckland Maoris defeated the Rest of New Zealand Maoris 38-27. Thirteen of the 19 chosen are Aucklanders. Waikato his two players, and there are one each from Northland, Wellington, Canterbury and Bay of Plenty. The two Tongan cousins. J. ant D. Liavaa, and an unde ant nephew combination, Dave end Dane Sorensen, are included. Hie squad is (Auckland player unless stated):— Full-back. P. Matete; wings, E. Kerrigan (Canterbury), D. Liavaa: centres, E. Orchard (Bay of Plenty). F. Sua, Dave Sorensen; stand-off. R. Harris. D. Williams; scrum-halves. D. Key, B. Berryman (Waikato): props. L. Proctor, P. Raihe (Waikato), C. Whaanga; hooker, W. Burgoyne (cantata); second row. T. Chatham (Northland), J. Liavaa, Dane Sorensen; loose forwards. P. Gurnlck, K. Tamati (Welltagton).
