Third Kiwanis club

The Port Hills Kiwanis Club will become the third Kiwanis club in Christchurch when it is chartered at a South Island divisional conference dinner on June 22. The total membership in Christchurch when the new club is chartered will be about 120. The secretary of the Christchurch club (Major D. T. Chase) said that interest in Kiwanis clubs was increasing. There would be about six' clubs by the end of the year, he hoped.

The movement became active in New Zealand seven years ago. There are now 30! clubs throughout New Zealand.
