New Dutch Consul
[ T.V.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. | I The Netherlands Ambassador (Mr H. C. Jorissen) has announced _ that Mr E. R. ;Klijn has been appointed [Consul of the Netherlands in ! Christchurch in succession Ito Mr G. N. Francis, who had been Consul since 1939. I Mr Francis, who in 1965 was awarded the Order of Orange-Nassau, resigned as Consul when he recently I relinquished his position as j (managing director of Pyne,! (Gould, Guinness Ltd.
Mr Klijn, the managing! (director of Hart Woo] (N.Z.),; Ltd. settled in Christchurch' in 1951. The new consulate will be open to the public from July, 1 at the offices of Hart Wool.
