Witnesses sought

The police in Christchurch are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run incident which occurred in Ferry Road at 7 45 p.m. on Saturday. A woman pedestrian was knocked down by a car which did not stop. She is at present in a serious condition in the resuscitation ward of the Christchurch Hospital. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact the motor accident branch of the central police station.
