Boys caught in fire

(From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT. May 22.

Two boys were admitted to the Buller Hospital late this afternoon with bums to the hands and body suffered when they were caught in a fire at their home in Larsen Street, Westport. They are Stephen and Robert Judge, aged nine and 12. sons of Mr and Mrs G. Judge, who were absent at the time. It is understood that the boys were using petrol to light a kitchen fire when it blew out on them. They escaped with their clothing alight, and called out to neighbours, who were able to attend to them quickly. The boys were reported in a satisfactory condition last evening.

The porch, kitchen, and another section of the threeroomed house were considerably damaged.
