Miss L. J. Cheng, a Malaysian student, serving fish balls from her stall at an Asian food fair held at the halls of residence canteen, Ilam, on Saturday. She was one of about 90 overseas students at the university who prepared the dishes for the fair, which was organised by the Canterbury Malaysian Students’ Association, assisted by the Vietnamese Students’ Association and the New Zealand-India Society. The proceeds from the sale of entry tickets will go towards a geriatric unit at the Salvation Army’s Resthaven Home.
