Gymnasium on trailer
A gymnasium on a trailer will be presented to the Christchurch Y.M.C.A. by the Paparua County Jaycees on Saturday. The mobile gymnasium will be used for classes at Hornby, Mairehau, and Redcliffs and will be run by volunteers. The Paparua Jaycees built the vehicle using voluntary labour; a number of parts and the materials Were gifts. Mr R. H. French, the general secretary of the Y.M.C.A. said the trailer was worth $BOO but it would take a further $9OO to equip it. It is built like a caravan and will carry gymnastic equipment such as trampolines, ropes, and balls.
