Four cases of salmonellosis reported in the Christchurch health district last week were separate cases consisting of two in the city area, one in Lyttelton and one in the Paparua County, the Medical Officer of Health (Dr L. F. Jepson) said yesterday. The disease, a form of food poisoning, seemed to be slightly on the increase, said Dr Jepson. Prevention was a matter of hygiene and avoiding infection.
