Welcome for Queen

DJAKARTA, March 18.
The Queen arrived in Djakarta aboard. the Royal yacht Britannia today to begin the first day of ner fiveday official visit, the first to Indonesia by a British Monarch.
Accompanied by Prince Philip, the Queen was welcomed by the Vice-President (Sultan Hamengku Buwono), the Foreign Minister (Mr Adam Malik), the Navy Chief of Staff (Admiral Subono), the Indonesian Ambassador to London (Mr Rusmin Nurjadin), and a host of other dignitaries and foreign diplomats. The Queen, accompanied by Sultan Buwono, arrived at the Merdeka Palace 40 minutes later, and was warmly welcomed by President Suharto and his wife, Mrs Tein Suharto.
The Queen made an official call on the President at the Merdeka Palace at noon, and, in turn, received an official call from the VicePresident at the Wisma Negara (state guest house) within the palace grounds, where she is staying during the five-day visit. The Suhartos gave a State banquet for the Queen this evening in the Istana- Negara (State Palace).
