E. Adams has larger market
Ernest Adams, Ltd, cake manufacturer has taken over the cake manufacturing business in Palmerston North of Adams Bruce, Ltd, together with the trade names of “Adams Bruce” and others connected with the business. Ernest Adams will now manufacture and market cake throughout New Zealand under the Ernest Adams and Adams Bruce names. The company, which traded as Adams Bruce, Ltd will change its name to Queen Anne, Ltd, and will continue to manufacture and distribute Queen Anne chocolates and confectionery, ice cream and Betsy Lee products throughout New Zealand. It will also continue its existing trade of cake, chocolates and ice cream through its retail shops and restaurants throughout New Zealand.
