MANAGER Tasmanian Tourist Council To $lO,OOO p.a. plus car The Tasmanian Tourist Council is the representative of the private sector of the tourist and travel industry in Tasmania and has been in existence since 1964 Its basic objectives include assisting in the development of the State's tourist industry in conjunction with Governmental bodies; and representing and further mg the interests of all organisations, associations, commercial undertakings and individuals engaged in the provision of facilities, services and entertainment for visitors. The Manager controls a small secretarial staff and his key duties would include the preparation of editorial work for publication and press and other media releases; acting as the liaison between private enterprise and government de partments; speaking at public meetings and giving radio and television interviews. Applicants should be 28 to 45 years of age and taeally would have experience in the tourist or travel industry, although this is not essential. Major requirements are seen to be the personal qualities and attributes to enable him to successfully carry out the major duties listed above Salary by negotiation in the range $BOOO to $10,000; other benefits include use of a company car and superannuation after a qualifying period.
