("The Press'’ Special Service) HASTINGS.

No Show and Kuranda returned good trials for their races in the President’s Handicap and the Thompson Handicap at Trentham tomorrow when they worked at Hastings vesterday morning. The plough was slightly holding, and the course proper hard and fast.

On the plough, Kuranda (Mrs Hercock) and Fleet Street (Hercock) ran six furlongs in lmin IBsec the last three in 39 l-ssec.

Kuranda was never in the finish of the sprint last Saturday, but was blocked for room in the straight.
