The new plastic bags the Labour-dominated Christchurch City Council will issue for rubbish collection went on display for the first time at the council meeting last evening. in reply to objections from Cr H. L. Garrett—a Citizen's councillor—about the low strength of the begs, Cr M. McG. Clark asked: “But don’t you like the colour?”
The bags are bright blue.
