The Czechoslovak authorities have banned public appearances by long-haired i male entertainers, apparently' as part of an official cam-1 paign against Western hairstyles, the Bavarian Ministry : of the Interior has announced. Quoting travellers returning from Czechoslovakia, the Ministry says that the ban affects pop concerts featuring long-haired musicians, who, if they defy the ban, will have their concerts stopped by the police. Long-haired young men in the streets have been told to cut their hair, the travellers say.—Munich, February 18.
